Our Story
In 2008 Dixie Peaches Couture was created to offer high quality southern inspired designs with a preppy twist. During our design process, our company created a collection of t-shirts featuring Bailey, our rescued lab mix, to raise awareness on the importance of canine rescue. Bailey’s designs and his story have allowed us to support Athens Canine Rescue by donating a percentage of sales from “Bailey” items each year. Each of our designs is created in house and all t-shirts are printed in Athens, GA.
In 2017 we lost our beloved Mother & Grandmother. Jen-Jen, as we fondly called her, was a key person in our lives and helped shape us into the people we are today. She was born and raised in the Hills of Tennessee on a farm outside of Nashville. She grew up in a tiny log house that was built in 1804 making her and her siblings the 4th Generation of Page family to call the log house and farm home.
Page Mercantile was created to honor Jen-Jen's memory and her family name. Our logo is reminiscent of a mercantile once owned by John Page in 1829. It features a hand drawn horse by Jen-Jen surrounded by tobacco leaves which represents the tobacco crop farmed by our family for generations. Our family still gathers at the farm where generations of our family once lived and loved. It is the one place that truly feels like home.
We hope your visit to Page Mercantile is welcoming and an enjoyable shopping experience. We have carefully chosen unique décor items that will add a special element of charm and class to the place you call home. From found European pieces to candles made in the South...our collections are modern with a nostalgic twist. Thank you for supporting our family owned business. We hope you have a pleasant shopping experience and will visit us again soon.
